Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy was pioneered by Dr. Michael Pistor in 1952 and was finally given formal recognition by the French Academy of Medicine in 1987. Currently over 15,000 medical practioners perform Mesotherapy throughout Europe, Great Britain, and South America.

Mesotherapy has been used in the treatment of acne, arthritis and joint problems, sports injuries, as well as for cosmetic purposes; such as reducing cellulite and weight-loss.

Mesotherapy is the practice of injecting small amounts of vitamins and/or medication into the middle layer of skin, known as the mesoderm.

Micro-injections are given once or twice a week over as period of 4 to 8 weeks. The needles used are 4mm long and are sterile and disposable with a penetration of 2-3 mm. Each session only takes a few minutes and the treatment is long lasting. When the desired effect is achieved, yearly maintenance is recommended over a period of 4-6 weeks.
